At D91 Labs, we have been engaging with real women of India to understand their financial lives and journeys as part of the Banking on Women chronicles in partnership with SHEROES and Mahila Money.
As we continue to publish their unique journeys, we are delighted to leverage these insights and present our first webinar under the banner - Banking on Women.
In this webinar, we will cover various facets of the financial and entrepreneurial journeys of women. We probe into their access to and usage of traditional and digital financial products and services, the unique challenge of women entrepreneurs in availing capital as well as discuss ideas around building gender-sensitive financial products.
Our panelists include lead researchers and women founders of fintech companies such as SHEROES, Salt, and GAME who not only care deeply about these issues but are also actively building products, platforms, and work of research to serve customers who are women. They strive to innovate at the intersection of finance and technology with a vision to make access and usage a reality for the women of India.
Through a well-crafted series of questions, Monami Dasgupta, the Head of Research here at D91 Labs, will moderate the session and navigate through the varied aspects of the financial access - usage gap for women. Finally, we will also hear from a solo-preneur who started her journey on a digital platform and built her business off the ground - her needs, her aspirations, and most importantly how she perceives the role of financial products for herself and women like her!
Here are some of the themes for discussion -
Life circumstances that affect financial planning for women
Barriers to the usage of financial products and services
Women entrepreneurship and access to capital
Digital makeover of financial products
Financial journey of a woman entrepreneur
Scope of gender-sensitive financial innovations
